A Pinhole Diary of Eating Out

A long-term project by photographer Nancy Breslin

I have been photographing meals out since 2003. For 10 years (May 2003 to December 2013) I posted over 2000 of these pictures at fotolog.com/squaremeals. Since 2012 I have been posting work to tumblr, but starting on 1/1/14 I will post all of my pinhole meals here. More of my work is available at www.nancybreslin.com.
I’ve had a wonderful opportunity for the past few months, as I was selected as an artist-in-residence at Winterthur Museum, Gardens and Library.  Their collection is one of the best of decorative American arts in the world.  I am working on several projects inspired by the museum, and one involves taking pinhole photographs of particular items in the collection.  I think the objects of silver, ceramic or glass look lovely through the soft aperture of my camera.
